WEEKEND COURSE: Classroom and pool sessions are taught Saturday and Sunday at the Kingsbury Club, 9am - 5pm. The course includes one weekend of open water dives (dives done in spring)

COURSE FEE: The course fee includes: textbook, logbook, dive tables, student record file, certification processing and pool equipment. Current pricing is shown on the course schedule.

OPEN WATER EQUIPMENT RENTAL: Open water equipment is rented at a daily rate. Students are responsible for their own mask, fins, snorkel, booties and gloves.

SESSIONS: Please check our schedules for the next Scuba session. Note: Participants must go to Diver's Market before the start of a session to pick up class materials.

In the OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVER (or beginner) level course you are introduced to S.C.U.B.A. Diving. The course is divided into both classroom and pool sessions. The classroom session uses a full-color, live-action video followed by a short elaboration by the instructor. Classroom sessions are directly followed by a pool session. This reinforces learning by actually practicing the skills talked about earlier in the classroom. In the pool, instructors fully explain, demonstrate, and oversee all of the skills to be done by the students.

Following completion of all classroom and pool sessions, students will participate in 4 open water dives. During these dives students practice their skills in a pond/ocean environment under direct supervision of the Instructors and Divemasters. Here students can ask questions concerning their personal gear in actual diving circumstances. This entire course is designed to be FUN and ENERGETIC while combined with a one-to-one teaching structure.

This course is taught at the Kingsbury Club by Diver’s Market Scuba Center, a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) 5 STAR Training Facility.
