Kingsbury Club Fitness Staff

Kelly Barlow - Fitness Director

Kelly Barlow has over 15 years of fitness experience as well as a B.S. in Management from Florida Institute of Technology and a Med. in Health and Fitness from Boston University. Over the years Kelly has focused on neuromuscular function with mind body connections in all fitness levels, improving overall wellness, proper breathing technique, strength and flexibility.

Kelly is Balance Point certified in Mat Pilates Level 1 and 2, in Pilates Reformer and TRX training and is CPR/AED certified. Her group fitness experience includes teaching group fitness classes, strength and conditioning classes, Pilates mat and Reformer classes. As a former owner of a personal training studio she devoted years to motivating adults to improve their own level of fitness as well as managing staff to efficiently and safely meet client needs.

As a collegiate Division II basketball player Kelly understands the work and dedication needed to support young athletes. She is actively involved in youth sports, serves as a member of the Duxbury Youth Basketball board, developed an after school Pilates program for students, and is a J.V. girls high school basketball coach at Thayer Academy. Kelly enjoys teaching and motivating kids of all ages and feels there is a wonderful opportunity for professionals to empower youth through proper fitness training. A lifelong learner, she believes there is always more knowledge to gain in the fitness industry.

Jim Antosca

Jim Antosca has always been involved in a variety of sports throughout his life. Jim studied at Bridgewater State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. He has coached both Football and Track for Plymouth North High School.

Jim is currently focusing on Competitive Bodybuilding in the OCB (Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders). As a professional, Jim is experienced with youth fitness training up to adult levels of training. He is certified by ACE- CPT and also certified with CPR/AED.

Toni Clark

Toni is an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor (since 1994) as well as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer (since 1999).  She has been teaching and training as a Fitness Professional for 15 years at a variety of health clubs across New England and in Berlin, Germany.  She is certified in a number of specialty formats, including Aqua Fitness (Speedo® Aquatic Fitness Systems), Step Aerobics (NDEITA), Cardio Kickboxing (Promise Enterprises), Spinning (Mad Dogg Athletics, Inc.), Strength Training (BFit University), Bosu (BOSU®), Urban Rebounding (Urban Rebounding®), Resist-A-Ball (Resist-A-Ball®), Mat Pilates (Polestar Education® & AAAI/ISMA), Reebok Core Training (Esquerre Fitness Group) and most recently Yoga (FRA).  She is also certified as a Pre/Postnatal Exercise Specialist (Desert Southwest Fitness, Inc. & NDEITA®) as well as a Weight Management Consultant (AAAI/ISMA). 

Toni has a passion for fitness (“It’s got to be fun and effective!”).  She sees a strong connection between physical and mental health and therefore draws upon her background as a psychotherapist to motivate, coach and bring out individual potential.  Toni seeks to bring physical fitness to people of all ages and stages and loves the challenge of creatively helping clients incorporate their personal preferences into routines and life style changes that will allow them to meet their goals. Toni offers individualized fitness assessments (including body composition, strength, flexibility, cardio fitness, etc.) to help clients track their progress.

   

Karen Goldberg

Karen is certified on all Pilates apparatus (Matwork, Reformer, Rehab Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector) by the internationally recognized Stott Pilates Education Program. Additionally, she has completed Stott’s Stability Ball and Golf and Racquet sports training. Having completed Stott’s Injuries and Special Populations requirements she is at ease working with clients of all levels of fitness.  Whether a well conditioned athlete or someone returning to fitness after an injury, Karen can offer the specific programming necessary to further one’s goals. Having used Pilates for successful rehab from back and neck pain herself,  Karen believes that the core strength and development of mind body connection offered by Pilates will benefit anyone by providing a healthy spine, improved posture, and increased strength and flexibility. In addition, Karen enjoys teaching Pilates to the Kingsbury Club youth, including swim teams.  Karen has a B.S. from Simmons College and a M.S. from the University of Lowell.   

Dr. Jay Samuel Leith

Dr. Jay looks forward to the opportunity to train with you alone or with a buddy. He is also the owner of a thriving Sports Medicine Chiropractic practice in Duxbury and has a long history of fitness, dating back to his time in the military. While completing his second doctoral degree in Chiropractic, Dr. Jay developed hundreds of rehabilitation and fitness protocols. His expertise varies from simple muscle and posture imbalance and stretching, to facilitation of atrophied or underutilized muscles and weight reduction.

Dr. Jay's personal interests include sport specific fitness for golf, tennis, running, soccer and triathlons. He also had the privilege of treating the entire pitching staff of the University of Bridgeport Varsity baseball team. No matter what your hobbies or passion, Dr. Jay can tailor a program especially for you.

Kim Park

Kim brings over 20 years of experience to the health club setting. She is an A.F.A.A. Certified Aerobic Instructor/Personal Trainer and Stott Pilates Mat Instructor. Kim has completed many certifications through Reebok University and was named one of their top 20 trainers in the northeast to specialize in Reactive Neuromuscular Training. R.N.T training has provided her with the knowledge needed to work with the medical community on post rehabilitation follow-up. Her passion lies with helping clients of all fitness levels reach their physical potential. Watching clients develop skill, strength, endurance, flexibility and self-esteem is a reward rarely found in other industries. Kim believes that the time you invest in the gym will have a profound impact on where your life takes you outside the gym and says “Make fitness a part of your life - invest in yourself!”

Corinne Poore

Corinne is a dedicated fitness professional. She is an A.F.A.A. Certified Aerobic Instructor and an F.R.A. Personal Trainer. She maintains these qualifications by continuing a regiment of ongoing study and by attending related workshops. Corinne specializes in Pre/Post Natal Fitness and Senior Fitness. She has the ability to work well with people of all ages and fitness levels. As a fitness trainer, she feels that it’s important to understand the client’s goals and provide knowledge, motivation, and an individual exercise program in order to help them achieve those goals. Her personal goal is to help people become healthier, happier, and to improve the overall quality of their life.

Val Sanderson

Val is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and FRA. She is highly motivated and passionate about her profession in the fitness industry. Val will design a fitness program tailored to suit your needs and reflect your fitness goals. She also brings a strong tennis background, which has helped our tennis members realize the importance of cross training.

Val was recently selected to be a personal fitness trainer on the MTV show “Made”. Because of her ability to work well with people of all ages, she has expanded our youth and adult programs at the club. Her variety of classes including six-pack attack, muscle mix, and boot camp, appeal to men and women of all ages. Val is a role model to all of our members!

Stella Sawyer

Stella is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer and by A.F.A.A. as an Aerobics and groups fitness instructor.

Stella has over 20 years of continuous experience in all phases of physical fitness. Her personally designed "Wellness through Fitness Program" encompasses all age groups and has benefitted many clubs and organizations throughout the South Shore. Her goal has always been to help everyone "be the best they can be" by demonstrating her expertise, dedication, enthusiasm and ability to motivate others.

Kim Sweeney

Kim has been affiliated with fitness and bodybuilding since her high school sports days. Her formal activities began when she trained and successfully competed in the WNBF from 1992 until 2002. She is an AFAA certified Personal Trainer and has been actively providing one-on-one training and rehabilitative injury therapy since 1997. Her dynamic approach is obvious in assisting student body builders, fitness enthusiasts or rehabilitative patients. Kim's passion for all sports has helped her clients find the "champion" within themselves!

Anne Canny Wargo

Anne has been an AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor since 2001. She also holds certifications from the National Cardio Kickboxing Association and the United States Water Fitness Association. She has over two years of teaching experience at various clubs on the North Shore, including the Manchester Athletic Club, the Ipswich Country Club and the North Shore YMCA. Her experience includes class instruction for muscle conditioning, Step, aqua fitness, cardio kickboxing and traditional boxing. Anne is a former gymnast and sportsperson. She has trained for many years with a professional boxer's trainer and martial artist as well as a World Champion Kickboxer. Anne is an A.C.S.M. certified Personal Trainer and has established a substantial and diverse clientele. She works with clients one-on-one in the water and on the fitness floor. She has found Personal Training to be extremely rewarding as she continues to contribute to her clients' successful achievement of their fitness goals.

Randy Townsend

Randy Townsend joins The Kingsbury Club team after years of sports performance training. Randy has been playing sports since he was young, focusing on football, basketball, and baseball. He graduated from Bridgewater State College with his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. For over four years Randy focused his attention on playing outside linebacker for the Middleboro Cobras Semi-Professional Team.

Currently Randy is CPR/AED certified by the American Heart Association. He also holds his certification as an NSCA-CSCS (National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist). Today his focus is on training athletes of all sports and adults of all ages in helping achieve their sought after goals - whether it be injury prevention/rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, speed technique or overall fitness.
