If your child is staying for Extended Tennis, we will assist with changing (if needed) and transition them to tennis. Pick-up for Extended Tennis will be at 2:00 PM in the lobby.
CAMP INFORMATION AND FAQ’s
Please note that the Kingsbury Club is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Campers are asked NOT to bring personal items from home such as iPods, electronic games, toys, etc. Campers with cell phones will be asked to keep them turned off and stored with their belongings for the duration of the camp day.
Who will be overseeing Kingsbury Kids Summer Camp?
The Summer Experience and Extended Day programs are overseen by Director Kimberlee Hardy, along with a team of Kingsbury-trained counselors.
Where do I drop off/pick up my child?
- Drop off and pick up will be at pool deck
- Morning drop-off no earlier than 8:50 AM.
- Pick-up must be completed by 1:10 PM.
Attendance, Late Arrival, Early Dismissal, Absence
- Attendance is taken daily. If your child will be absent please email Kimberlee@kingsburyclub.com.
- Late arrivals must be accompanied by a parent to the child’s scheduled activity.
- Early dismissals: A parent or authorized adult listed on the authorization form may pick up a camper at their current activity and must notify the Director/Counselor.
- Emergency: In an emergency, if someone not listed will be picking up your child, you must notify the Director by phone or email. That adult must present photo ID at pick-up.
Do campers have to swim?
Yes. Swimming is an important part of our program for safety, exercise, and building confidence. All campers are expected to participate unless a parent notifies us in writing of a special circumstance.
- On Mondays, campers are placed in a swim group by age.
- A swim test is given each Monday to ensure proper placement.
- Campers must complete their swim lesson in order to participate in free swim.
What if I am late for the 1:00 PM pick-up?
Parents are given a 10 min grace period after 1pm. If you go past the grace period, we will charge you $1 for every min you are late starting at 1.

What should my child bring to camp?
Campers should dress appropriately for the weather and arrive with sunscreen already applied and swim suit on We recommend labeling all items with your child’s name.
Please send your child with:
✔ Water bottle
✔ Extra sunscreen
✔ Towel
✔ Extra socks and shirt
✔ Hat or visor
✔ Closed-toe shoes (sneakers recommended)
Water refill stations will be available throughout the day.
A snack and lunch are provided for all campers.
What is the make-up policy if my child misses a day of camp?
There are no make-ups, refunds, or credits for missed days. If possible, please notify us in advance if your child will be absent due to illness.
What if it is raining or extremely hot during drop-off time?
Camp will run as scheduled. Drop-off and pick-up may be moved to the Restaurant area in the event of rain or extreme heat. Please check in with the front desk if there are any changes.
What if it rains during the day?
We have a wide variety of indoor activities planned to keep campers engaged. Indoor spaces, including fitness rooms and areas within the tennis courts, will be used as needed.
What will my child’s day be like?
Below is an example of a daily schedule at Kingsbury Kids Summer Experience. Weekly themes are incorporated throughout camp to make every week fresh and exciting!
Starfish I (Ages 5-6)
For children who cannot swim yet on their own and need to be held / have support from an instructor. Beginner stroke, back float and streamline front float will all be taught.
Starfish II (Ages 5-7)
For children who can keep their face in the water for skills taught. Children should be able to swim independently without any floatation device for a short distance.
Rays (Ages 6-8)
For those who swim comfortably and independently but lack proper stroke. Focused on teaching the front and back crawl fundamentals, arm position, rhythmic breathing & treading water and elementary backstroke will be taught. Must be able to swim 10 yards without support.
Stingrays (Ages 8+)
Objective is to improve the front & back crawl. Rhythmic breathing is improved on. Breaststroke will be taught and butterfly will be introduced. Students are required to swim the length of our pool for distance repeatedly throughout class.
Swim Team Ready (Ages 8+)
This is for swimmers who can swim the 4 competitive strokes; freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly comfortably (not perfectly.) Emphasis will be on building strength and endurance and perfecting each stroke. Racing starts, turns, and diving will be taught.
